I recently attended a three-hour belly dancing and yoga workshop facilitated by Masa. what is rooted?

Workshop Overview

Something sacred lives in your body.

It has survived everything: the pace of modern life, the weight of what you carry, the years of living more in your head than in your skin. It was never destroyed. Only buried.
Rooted is a journey back.  
Through sacred Egyptian and Persian dance, yoga, breathwork, and meditation, we find our way home to the body. These are practices that have connected people to themselves, to each other, and to something larger for thousands of years. Not as performance. Not as exercise. As medicine. 
This is for you if:
  • You have felt disconnected from your body and want to find your way back 
  • You are curious about sacred movement but do not know where to begin 
  • You want something that goes deeper than a workout or a wellness class 
  • You are ready to move, breathe, and be still, in community  
Low-impact and modifications available. Open to all genders.

This is not a dance class. This is a homecoming.
